The SandysBoat Club - House Rules
•1. CLUB OPENING HOURS: The Clubhouse will be open for the same hours as the Bar, and Members must vacate the premises if and when requested to do so by the Steward.As part of our Liquor License, Guests must leave the premises by 2:00 a.m. of any one day.
•2. GUESTS: Refer to Club Rule 21. A Member, who shall be responsible for their conduct while the Guests remain on the Club premises, MUST sign all Guests into the VISITOR’S BOOK. Guests MUST leave the Club when their sponsors do so. Persons who would not be eligible for Membership or former Members who’s Membership has been forfeited shall not be admitted to the Club as Guests.
•3. DRESS CODE: Members and their Guests must be properly dressed to enter the Clubhouse. All persons must remove their headwear while in the upstairs bar area (i.e. inside the sliding glass doors at each end upstairs). All person must remove helmets and or hoodies when inside the Club
.4. BEHAVIOUR ONCLUB PREMISES: Members, their Guests and children, are expected to conduct themselves in a manner not likely to cause offence to other Members / Guests, and any use of BAD LANGUAGE will not be tolerated. Improper conduct will be dealt with under Club Rule 22.
•5. MEMBERS RESPONSIBILITIES: Members shall take every care of Club furniture and fittings, and will be held responsible for the cost of replacement of any items damaged by themselves and or their Guest(s). This is for items considered by the Executive Committee to have been damaged by improper or unfair usage.
•6. CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 14: Must be accompanied by a Member, parent or responsible adult when on the Club premises in particular the Dock area.
•7. MEMBERS/GUESTS CHILDREN: Over the age of 14 and under 18 shall not be permitted in the Clubhouse after 11:00 p.m. unless accompanied by a Member.
•8. MEMBERS/GUESTS CHILDREN: Under 18 years of age are allowed in the Bar Room until 10:00 p.m. each day. (Upper Bar defined is any area west of an imaginary line taken from the west sliding glass door to the western end of the old bar and the eastern sliding glass door. Lower bar defined is an area of an imaginary line the western French door across to the wall and the eastern swing door)
•9. PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 18: Can receive non-alcoholic drinks, etc. from upstairs bar side door only, and will not be permitted in the bar area at any time, with the exception of special functions, relating to children. (Upper Bar defined is any area west of an imaginary line taken from the west sliding glass door to the western end of the old bar and the eastern sliding glass door. Lower bar defined is an area of an imaginary line the western French door across to the wall and the eastern swing door)
•10. ANIMALS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE CLUBHOUSE AT ANY TIME. Individuals with assistance animals shall be allowed as long as long as they are properly maintained.
•11. CHAIRS, TABLES, ETC: Members wishing to borrow tables, chairs, coolers etc. will be required to sign for the items before removal from Club premises, and must have the items returned within 72 hours. Any damage or loss of the borrowed items will be billed to the Member at current replacement cost for the like item. The Club reserves the right to request a deposit on equipment.
•12. STEWARD’S AUTHORITY: Members are reminded that the Steward has the authority to refuse to provide service to or for any person, if they consider such service not to be in the best interest of either the person or the Club. The Steward has the authority to ensure that all persons on Club premises adhere to the HOUSE RULES.
•13. DOCK AREA: Boats shall adhere to the follow rules regarding laying along side the Dock The dock is Color coded as follows: GREEN: 3 hours maximum, YELLOW: 1 hour not to exceed, RED: load and unload only, BLUE: no laying alongside at any time. Times and restrictions may be altered at the discretion of the Rear-Commodore, Flag Officers. Any discharge onto the dock must be cleaned-up by the Member.
•14. FISH CLEANING: Fish cleaning is not permitted on any dock area(s), although boats tied alongside in an approved manner may clean fish onboard only. No fish racks or remains are to be disposed of in the dock area
•15. GARBAGE: There are trash bins available on the dock area and in the Club. These must not be used for the disposal of bags of trash. It is the responsibility of the Member to dispose of any bags of trash or excess items. Items not removed and determined abandon by the Club will be disposed of at prevailing rates plus a 50% surcharge payable to the Club.
•16. ICE: A reasonable amount will be supplied to Members only on a first-come serve basis.Additional amounts can be purchased at prevailing rates as long as adequate supply is available for all.
•17. PARKING: No vehicle of any description (trucks, cars, motorcycles, bikes) may be parked on the Club Dock or Patio unless it is for the loading or unloading of articles. In this case loading / unloading are to be done promptly and the vehicle removed.
•18. WATERCRAFT STORAGE: No watercraft of any type will be allowed to be stored on the Club property without registration. A registration form is available from the Bar / Rear Commodore. Upon approval and payment of the annual registration fee, a decal will be issued which must be displayed on the watercraft in the location specified. Watercraft must be stored in specified areas. Non-approval of registration will require immediate removal. Any unregistered watercraft left longer than 90 days on the property will be removed without notification and/or forfeited to the Club. The Club reserves the right to dispose of the watercraft as they see fit. Any expenses incurred by the Club to remove said watercraft will be for the Members account.The annual registration fee for Watercraft will be agreed by the Executive Committee and notice posted accordingly. Annual billing will occur at the same time each year. Only a Member in good standing will be afforded this privilege.
•19. CLUB GUESTS: Any person over 18 who has been signed in as a guest and has visited the Club over 5 (five) times shall be offered a Membership application to complete. The Executive Committee reserves the right to extend this requirement as deemed necessary.
•20. CLUB DEBIT: In addition to the requirements of Club Rule # 11, the following shall apply. A 1.5% finance charge added per month on all debt due the Club until the debt is paid in full. Should a debt be outstanding for over 120 days it shall incur a collection charge of 50% of the amount due added to the debt plus any additional fees incurred to collect the amount owed.
•21. BAR TABS: For any reason if a bar tab is left unsettled 48 hours past the date of the tab it will be subject to a $10.00 charge added to the tab at the time of settlement.
NEVER BLOCK THE FIRE EXITS TO THE UPPER CLUBHOUSE AND LOWER PATIO
Amendments of and Additions to these “Rules” shall be done from time to time as it is deemed necessary by the Executive Committee. Updates shall be posted for information purposes. Non-awareness of said changes does not constitute non-adherence to.
