Time to Pay your Club Dues


Dear Member,

Invoices for membership dues for the 2018-19 fiscal year (which become payable on February 1, 2018) will be sent out in the near future. Please take note of the following:

Change to Rule 11 Indebtedness

The membership voted to make changes to Rule 11 Indebtedness at a Special General Meeting held in February 2017. Please note the timelines below:

11. INDEBTEDNESS

a. Any indebtedness to the Club must be paid within thirty days. A Member may apply in writing to the Executive Committee, on or before January 31, for an extension to pay their Membership Fee. This extension, if approved, may not exceed six (6) months. Note: It is expected that Members who do not wish to renew their Membership should extend notice of this intent in writing.

b. Any Member, whose indebtedness to the Club is not paid within thirty (30) days, shall have their Membership automatically suspended until the debt is paid in full.

c. Any Member, whose indebtedness to the Club is not paid within sixty (60) days, shall have their Membership terminated.

Invoice date

The invoices have been forward dated to February 1, 2018 to reflect the actual due date of the membership dues and to ensure they are reported in the correct accounting period. However, when considering the change to Rule 11 the invoices are being sent out in advance to provide additional notice of payment amounts to the membership.

Punt registration

Punt registration and storage fees have not been automatically added to invoices. It is the responsibility of members storing their punts or small water craft on the premises to complete the registration form and pay the registration fee ($120.00) as applicable.

Incentive program

Application forms for those wishing to apply for a discount on their dues under the Incentive Program can be obtained from the bartender during club hours. Please be reminded that eligibility for the Incentive Program relates to activities (participation on sports teams, volunteer work, proposal of new members etc.) that took place in the 2017-18 club year.

Resignation of membership

Should a member wish to resign their membership, please send notification of the resignation to the Secretary (sbcsecretary@logic.bm).

If you do not receive an invoice in the near future, please contact the Treasurer on this email address.
